Intermediate District 287 was created by thirteen Twin Cities area districts to provide educational services and programs that complement and support their own programs. Together, they work to creatively meet the diverse and changing needs of learners through cooperatively delivered, high-quality, cost-effective services--including administration, special education, and teaching and learning. Member districts include Bloomington, Brooklyn Center, Eden Prairie, Edina, Hopkins, Minnetonka, Orono, Osseo, Richfield, Robbinsdale, St. Louis Park, Wayzata, and Westonka. Along with a specialty in reading disorders and assistive technology, District 287 offers the services of an Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) specialist, providing individualized educational support for students who have been diagnosed by a clinical audiologist with APD, or students referred by educational teams who require screening, assessment, consultation, or in-servicing relative to APD issues.
