Volunteer

Here's three great ways to get involved with IDA-UMB:

1.   Volunteer for an event or committee.

IDA-UMB's Board of Directors is a working board. As such, we're always in need of volunteers to help us continue to offer valuable services and information to our members and the larger community. We sponsor many events throughout the year, including our Speaker Series, workshops, and our annual conference. Volunteers at these events help with everything from planning and preparation to hanging signs and greeting guests.

In addition to event volunteers, we need active volunteers to serve on our working committees with interest and knowledge in the areas of membership recruitment, database management, publicity, marketing, website content management, and editing. 2.   Suggest a candidate for our Board of Directors.

If you know someone whom you believe should serve on our Board of Directors, please suggest them as a candidate. For information on how to make a nominee suggestion, click here. 3.   Become a member.

Join The International Dyslexia Association today and help us educate about, and advocate for, dyslexia as well as support research on dyslexia, literacy acquisition, remediation and teaching methodologies. When you join the national organization and live in our service area (Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Manitoba, Canada), you automatically become a member of IDA-UMB and receive reduced event rates, important newsletters and periodicals, and much more!
